Eye Care 101

The delicate skin around your eyes is the first to show signs of fine lines, dark circles and puffiness. Fortify the eye area with gentle and nourishing products to minimize the appearance of fine lines, while adding firmness and elasticity to the skin.

The double cleanse starts out with an oil cleanser followed by a foaming cleanser—you need two different formulas to properly and thoroughly cleanse your face.

5 Tips for Brighter Eyes:

Never tug, pull, or rub your eyes.

This stresses the skin, leading to fine lines and wrinkles. You should also never tug or pull when you’re applying eye cream! Instead, use a gentle patting motion with a finger that applies less pressure (I use my pinky!) to help the product absorb in your skin.

Don’t leave makeup on longer than you have to.

When you remove it, do it right to keep the area clean. And this should go without saying, but never ever sleep in your eye makeup. Not only can doing this cause infections, it will accelerate aging.

Take care of your overall health.

Dark circles and puffiness under the eyes can indicate you’re not getting enough sleep or hydration. Aim for at least eight hours of sleep every night and try to drink as much water as possible throughout the day.

Keep your skin hydrated at all times.

The best way to do this is to look for good ingredients: Green tea extract can help reduce dark under eye circles, and sodium hyaluronate works as a humectant that helps skin retain moisture.

When all else fails, makeup will save the day.

We can’t always get the beauty rest we want to help our eyes look perky, youthful, and awake, so thank goodness for makeup!
